International Osteopathic Healthcare Week is April 15-22, 2018

World Health Organization (WHO) Benchmarks for Training in Osteopathy were published in 2010 to establish international education standards for osteopathy:

  • Establishing length and content of training
  • Designating full time or part time requirements for those with prior healthcare training,
  • Specifying that all osteopathic skills and clinical training must be delivered “hands on”- not online,
  • And requiring supervised clinical practice in training.

You can can have peace of mind that your osteopathic healthcare experience will have the highest levels of safety and professionalism.

Make sure that the osteopathic practitioner you choose is a member of a provincial osteopathic association that is part of the Canadian Federation of Osteopaths.
